What Are Famous Iranian Drinks?

Cold Iranian Drinks
It’s better to start with Doogh. This amazing, unique and refreshing Iranian drink is made of yogurt, water and mint. The unusual fact about this beverage is that it is salty. Yes, this salty drink dates back to old days of Persia. Iranians drink it with their main foods, especially with Kebab. This is one of the good choices during warm seasons. Of course, Doogh has a mixed flavor of salty and sour. If you don’t like it to be too salty, you can adjust the seasonings.
Kakshir is another famous Iranian drink, mostly suitable for summers. It consists of tiny reddish-brown seed which are called teff in English. Sekanjabin with Cucumber (Khiar Sekanjabin)
One of the oldest Iranian drinks, tried almost in all Iranian family parties, is Sekanjabin with cucumber. This traditional Persian drink includes water, white vinegar, fresh mint, peeled and shredded cucumbers, sugar or honey and lime rind. This is also another Iranian beverage you may try during hot seasons.
Tokhm-e Sharbati is called basil seed in English. This Iranian drink also has so many benefits for your health. It reduces food craving and blood pressure and also has high amount of Omega-3.

Hot Drinks in Iran
Well, the first famous hot Iranian drink is tea. If you visit Iran, you will be surprised by the number of times Iranians drink tea during a day.
