Jolfa Street

 

Jolfa Street is located in Isfahan  .This historical street is an Armenian quarter near the Vank cathedral .It is built by Shah Abbas I, In Safavid dynasty. Historians believe that, Julfa were famous for their silk trade, Shah Abbas treated the population well and hoped that their resettlement in Isfahan would be beneficial to Persia.

In this Quarter observe Iranian law with regard to clothing, but otherwise retain a distinct Armenian language, identity cuisine, and culture.
