The Manouchehri House is a boutique hotel situated in Kashan’s historical residential neighborhood, a gold mine of traditional Persian architecture and craftsmanship. Eight private guest rooms with unique architectural details surround a peaceful courtyard that features a reflecting pool flanked by gardens bearing local fruit. Guests are welcomed with a refreshment in the elegant lobby outfitted with traditional Iranian furnishings and showcasing an art gallery in the atrium above.
A beautiful dining room serves complimentary breakfast as well as local fare for lunch and dinner. A state-of-the-art subterranean movie theatre, converted from the original basement cistern, and wifi Internet service throughout, highlight the harmonious balance of old and new. A spacious textile workshop featuring looms for velvet and brocade weaving support the revival of traditional arts of the region. These rare and precious textiles are available for purchase in the hotel’s gift shop, which presents a multitude of objects from Iranian artisans and craftsmen.

Restaurant
The dining room, situated in the original guest quarters of the house, offers an inspiring culinary experience in an attractive and serene atmosphere.
Beneath high-vaulted ceilings with stucco details and bathed in warm light from the colored glass windows, guests can savor local and regional dishes and delicacies. Open to the public for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as organized events, the restaurant hosts up to 50 people and serves complimentary breakfast to hotel guests.
Shop
The gift shop of the hotel is located in the old “fountain room” of the house where a sparkling crystal chandelier illuminates the high, vaulted ceiling and a collection of beautiful objects on display. Guests intrigued by Persian handicrafts can browse the selection of fine textiles produced in the workshops of the house as well as a multitude of other articles from various Iranian artists and artisans. Travel books, Persian music CDs, ceramic ware, and handmade booklets are among the many items available at the shop.
Workshop
The commitment of the Manouchehri House to the legacy of traditional Persian arts and crafts has led to a unique collaboration with local textile weavers. Kashan was once revered as a center for textile arts in Iran, and the woven treasures of this region, whether silk, velvet, or cotton, were being traded the world over. Until a more recent past, some aspect of textile production – spinning, dyeing, weaving – was present in almost every household in the city.
In a concerted effort to ensure that these skills not only endure, but also prosper a section of the Manouchehri House has been allocated to its own textile workshop where an ongoing exchange of know-how and craftsmanship supports the revival and sustenance of these arts. Guests are welcome to visit the textile workshop located in the spacious basement of the building, and meet master weavers –Mr. Yaallah, Mr. Taleh and Mr. Aghamirza– operating the brocade and velvet weaving looms. The silk and cotton weaving looms are housed in a neighboring building also part of the Manouchehri House complex. The refined creations of these looms are available for purchase at the gift shop of the hotel.
